How to Use Zakra Header and Footer Builder

Ready to use Zakra’s Header and Footer Builder? Here’s how you can!

If you’re using the Zakra theme for the first time, you’ll get Zakra’s Header and Footer Builder as soon as you install the theme. Otherwise, for an existing user, update the theme by following the steps below.

1. Update the Zakra Theme and Zakra Pro Plugin

To use this feature, ensure the Zakra theme is updated to the latest version. The Header and Footer builder is available from Zakra Free v4.0.0 and Zakra Pro v3.0.0.

So, go to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Appearance >> Themes. You’ll get a notification to update the theme at the top of the theme.

Click on Update now, and you’ll be good to go.

Note: Make sure that both the free and pro versions of the theme are Zakra Free v4.0.0 and Zakra Pro v3.0.0 or above. You should update both the free and pro versions of the theme.

To update the Zakra Pro version, navigate to Plugins>>Installed Plugins, and you’ll see a message to update the plugin. Similarly, update the plugin.

Note: The Zakra Pro Add-on is not a theme but a plugin, so once you install it, you’ll have to update it as a plugin.

2. Navigate to Customizer

Go to Appearance >> Customize >> Header & Navigation, then toggle on the Enable Builder.

As you toggle on, a pop-up with all the information about the builder will appear. Read it all and hit the Continue button if everything is good to go.

Meanwhile, enabling Builder will enable both Header and Footer Builder.

3. Start Building

Now, you can start building by dragging and dropping the elements and seeing the real-time preview as you create a header and footer for your website.

4. Publish and Enjoy

Once satisfied with the design, hit the Publish button and watch your site transform into a brand-new custom look.
