There’s also dedicated treatment for media handling functionality. This includes automatic image optimization, lazy loading implementation, and intelligent Content Delivery Network (CDN) integration. Finally, there’s catering for modern WordPress development needs. At the tip of the iceberg, there’s support for theme.json and the Site Editor, performance optimization for the Block Editor, and even template part caching.

Rapyd Cloud Review: The Migration and Onboarding Experience
Once you sign up for a Rapyd Cloud account, you’ll come to a home screen that prompts you to either create a new site or migrate one:
Migrating your site requires you to speak with the support team. I’ll cover the main site setup process here rather than migrations as you’ll have a guiding hand anyway with Rapyd Cloud.
Clicking the Create site button will ask you to either purchase a new plan for the site or use an existing one. With both options, I think it’s cool that you get to see a pop-up breakdown of the plan and its specifications:
Next, you need to add the technical information for your new site. The interface to do all of these steps is slick, and I whipped through the setup in a matter of minutes:
Once you click to confirm your new site, you’ll need to wait around 20 minutes or so for the installation process to complete. In fact, the Sites screen will show the progress of the setup in real-time, complete with insights into where you are in the pipeline:
After the installation and setup completes, you can access your WordPress website’s dashboard from the Sites screen, along with all of the settings and analytics you’d expect.
Working With Websites
I like the general layout of the Rapyd Cloud admin screens, and individual site dashboards are also clean, clear, and comfortable to use.
One aspect of managed hosting that will appeal is how you can work with your WordPress themes, plugins, and versioning from within the back-end.
With Rapyd Cloud, there are a few WooCommerce-specific options to tweak, and the option to update your themes and plugins from here. In most cases, you can rollback versions for these too, which will be handy for troubleshooting tasks.

Rapyd Cloud offers full support for all of its functionality and architecture, regardless of the plan you choose. However, you can upgrade this through the Manage plan link on the Support access page.
The support pricing is not something I want to go into depth with here, as the majority of you won’t need to upgrade. However, I do want to note that the Enhanced ($100 per month) or Elite ($500 per month) plans give you a few choice benefits:
- A more stringent Service Level Agreement (SLA).
- Dedicated account managers.
- Access to a Rapyd Cloud Slack channel.
- Application, platform, and infrastructure support.
I’d wager these benefits will be more appealing to enterprise clients or setups where host support can be a business-critical endeavor. I’m on the fence whether Rapyd Cloud should really charge extra for this kind of support in general, but I can concede that there is a monetizable demand for it.
